1. **Expand Medicaid Coverage**:
Expanding Medicaid coverage is a crucial legislative action to improve health equity. Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has been shown to increase access to healthcare services for low-income individuals, thereby reducing health disparities.
